ive paid first month rent and deposit, sign lease from landlord agent, then handed the keys to move in. next day landlord comes in house without calling in morning, landlord tells me her agent did not tell her she had moved anyone in. landlord have not seen contract I signed so I faxed her it. landlord changed everything in it to fully protect her like( tenant shall pay for appliances , plumbing repair under $100 ) or $25 late fee and $5 a day until paid in full). landlord fired agent and told us to deal with her and not agent anymore. do I have to sign new lease, its been 2 week when she gave me new lease, landlord or agent did not sign first lease but I did. do I have a right to stick with first lease since agent let me sign first lease?

If they didn't sign, then it's not in effect (afaik). I am not a lawyer though. I'd try to negotiate with him/her on some things, but if they're being unreasonable, say you'll look for somewhere else. Taking possession however (i.e. keys) makes things more difficult if you've already moved some stuff in. You can make it a big PITA for landlord if you choose to. So you can negotiate from a place of some strength.

I'll go with the AFAIK... if they were acting as the rental agent that contract is valid.

Those guys look like they could point you in the right direction. Also many lawyers will do free consultations, your question is simple and you may get someone to answer your question over the phone.

The landlord is banking on you not questioning what they are trying to do.

Is it really worth it to stay there?

I'd buy some time to find a new place and be done with this landlord. I know moving is a pain but let's be honest there's plenty of places to rent from.

just makes sure to get your money back.
