Thinking about buying a mattress from them rather than a national vendor because they are based in Cleveland. Seeking forumers opinions and experiences about this company?

I bought one in college and it was terrible. Of course my standards back then were low enough (before this I was in a dorm) that I didn't notice until I bought my next one a few years later.

A gently used Serta from Craigslist is a better buy if you're on a budget.

No, I am not on a budget.

I brought one in another state a year ago and I love it. It was not cheap. I like the fact that they are made in the USA and you can visit their factory and see them being made. I got an orthopedic queen double sided pillow top.

Were you allowed to visit the Original Mattress Factory and did you visit their factory? If you did visit their factory, tell us what you saw?

I for one would not dream of buying a "gently used" mattress from some stranger off Craigslist. Too risky these days now that bedbugs have made a huge comeback.

There are too many places to get inexpensive new mattresses even if they don't last as long than to buy a mattress soaked with someone else's bodily fluids.

Used lawn mower or textbook is one thing. Something that soaks up bodily fluids, bacteria, parasites, and other nasty stuff that could potentially touch my face is last resort in my book.

You can buy from them, sure, but it will cost more than Amazon. I found a mattress I liked at the Mattress Firm then saved $600 by ordering it on amazon.

I purchased my mattress from them in 1998. I do not remember what I spent but it was $200+ less expensive than the similar Sealy and Serta mattresses ON SALE at the May Company.

No complaints whatsoever. The mattress has held up well.

As for a factory tour, they told me that I could WATCH my mattress being produced if I wanted to. I chose to pass.

The delivery guys set up the mattress and springs and moved the old mattress and springs to our second bedroom.

I would buy from them again.
