I'm sure those working at Sherwin-Williams or Eaton would be surprised to find they have suddenly gotten into the healthcare field (or are on welfare).
Not to mention progressive insurance, the high tech manufacturing firms (PolyOne, Graftech, Steris), one of the numerous law firms, real estate firms, banks.

Yes but...16K per capita. Indianapolis 24.1K, Kansas City 26.8K, St Louis 22.5K, Buffalo 20.2K, Chicago 28K.

See the problem?

Unfortunately most educated people moved to the suburbs in the 60s due to racial tensions, and the real estate agents who exploited them. That combined with the loss of factory jobs is responsible for those numbers. But the economy of the region is relatively healthy for skilled, and educated people; in fact, businesses are having a hard time finding enough qualified people to fill some high tech manufacturing positions.

California forums aren't interesting to comment on because they're not dominated by passionate boosters

Should have been Cleveland1976. Your posts in a forum for a dying city outnumber your posts to anything in California 5-1. Interesting.

In other words, Cleveland forums provide better fodder for your trolling.

Do any of the Cleveland forum people go around to other forums and flame there? I'm just curious if this particular brand of patheticness is limited to mostly Californians or if we are guilty of it too.

Negative comments about a given area from former residents should be just as welcome in the discussion as positive comments.

Negative and positive comments from people who don't have any knowledge of what they're talking about have no value.
