Live in Nashville and looks like I will be taking my wife to CC in the next couple of weeks. Any recommendations for reasonably priced motels near the campus that are safe and any restaurant recommendations.

I'd imagine that you're taking her to the main campus. If so, the CCF should be able to provide you a very good rate at one of the campus/near-campus hotels (Intercontinental, Intercontinental Suites, Tudor-Arms Doubletree). You can also stay in one of the many nearby downtown or suburban hotels. I will warn you that it is very busy in that area most of the working day, so you might want to really look into staying on campus.

There are very good restaurants all over University Circle and in Little Italy (less than a mile from CCF). The restaurants I can personally recommend are: Table 45 (in the Intercontinental), L'Albatros, Etna, Washington Place (also a boutique inn), Presti's (coffee, pastries, sandwiches, pizza), Gusto, Trattoria on the Hill, La Dolce Vita, Valerio's. There are many more.

Before you start calling around for rates, I strongly recommend that you call the Cleveland Clinic DIRECTLY and ask them what arrangements they have for the families of patients. In some cases, they can direct you to heavily discounted housing. In other cases, they will direct you to hotels where they have lower contracted rates.

Lodging

Nearly all of the hospitals that draw nationally or internationally (i.e., the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, etc.) offer this type of support.
