How far west? You could try CSU or one of the suburbs rec centers like Strongsville. You could get a YMCA membership for 3 months. Is this for playing full court pickup games or shooting around? There's a good crew at the strongsville req center that plays 11:30-1:30 everyday.

A number of suburbs have really nice recreation facilities, but my guess is that unless you know someone whose a resident in one of these particular suburbs that will bring you as a guest, you're not getting in without actually being a resident yourself.

I think the City of Cleveland rec centers are free to use for everybody, even non-residents. You could try Matt Zone, or one of the others on the West Side.
