And from the Cleveland Scene:

A nice little warm up to the 2016 RNC?

Odds are 13/24...greater than 50%.

Just imagine what the month of June next year could be:

NBA Finals: June 2nd to June 16th

COPA America Centenario: June 3rd to June 26th

The Phantom of the Opera: June 15th to July 10th

Republican National Convention: July 18th to July 21st

(I see they moved it back, not wanting to be in the midst of ALL OF THAT)

Should be a pretty good summer for the downtown businesses!

Well I know speculation about the RNC was originally that it was going to be as soon as mid-late June. It could've been that it had nothing to do with that, but I'm sure they weighed the fact that it was gonna be a busy few weeks.

Seriously a lot of out-of-towners/media will be Downtown the entire summer in 2016.

Lots of out of towners will be coming to Cleveland this summer as well as 2016. Gotta state that the Red Line needs major trash clean-up along its route. I know it will be covered up by summer green-growth but still, it's bad. Especially W 98-W 25 stations. Major trash dump on the bluff just west of W 3rd Street. Community service or prisoner clean-up crews can aid in this effort.

West Park station had turned into a pigeon coop; brird droppings everywhere to the point one can only sit on the seats on the north end of station. Station looked to be deteriorating.

RTA should start an express train from TC-Airport (and its reverse). Bus driver at WP Station of course started to mix-it-up with a woman commenting about a late bus (not this driver's bus) but his response was ''call rta police; knowing how I am, if you complained about my bus to me, we be going at it in the parking lot'' This was of course across the station at a distance so it was loud. I might use the rapid again but not the connecting bus service out of that station.

Didn't ride east of TC so I can't make a statement about the east side segment.

Default RTA maintenance problems

The West 25th St. Red Line station elevator has been down for over three months.

W. 25 - Ohio City Rapid Station | Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority

For some one who can't handle two flights of stairs, West 25th St. now is inaccessible from this station.

Either RTA has short-changed its maintenance budget and/or is very ineptly managed.

West 25th St. probably is the most popular station for tourists between Tower City and the airport, as it provides access to the West Side Market and other Ohio City attractions. The station has a ramshackle feel to it, especially when the elevator is broken.

It would be great if the PD/NEOMG did a monthly or quarterly review on random days of conditions at RTA rail rapid stations.
