Default East/West divide; best location for retired couple interested in culture, activities

A couple currently living in the Warren area, but formerly from Long Island, NY, desires to relocate to Cleveland and wonders whether the East or West side of Cleveland would offer the best retirement home for them, especially after a short visit in which they greatly enjoyed the Cleveland Museum of Art. See post 7.

Default Shaker Square

This thread and a linked article in the original post offers an excellent perspective on Shaker Square, both a densely populated neighborhood, but also a focal point for charming adjacent neighborhoods such as Larchmere and those exclusively in Shaker Heights.
