Hi everyone. I currently live in NJ and have been going back and forth trying to make a decision about whether to move to Ohio or Georgia. My goal is to buy a cheap mobile home for the time being and put it on some land and in the next few years build a house. Ohio has a lot more cheaper mobile homes so I've decided on Ohio but I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on towns that are in rural areas which is what I prefer if possible. I would love to be within an hour from Cleveland but anywhere in eastern Ohio would work. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks!

Parts of Northeast Ohio have pretty cheap land. I would look at Geagua, Portage, Ashtabula and Trumbull Counties.

Perhaps consider buying/renting the mobile home separately from the land. This would give you a chance to move to Greater Cleveland and check it out before buying the land, as well as time to decide where you would enjoy purchasing the land/living.

There are some seemingly very cheap mobile home parks in Mentor on Mentor Ave., a great location convenient for downtown.
