Worst of the worst, or close. Pretty much zero redeeming factors.

Hough or St. Clair-Superior would be a better play in the price range you're looking in.

neither of these areas arent really much better than the others?

It's not as bad as Glenville or East Cleveland. If you live over there, a good security system, and a dog are musts.

Pretty bad area. Like someone already said, I can't think of any plusses to living there. If I were you, I'd look more in Slavic Village, which isn't too far from there. Also an area with some issues, but there is certainly reason to believe it's seen it's worse days already and is one its way back up.

Look west.... I just looked on the MLS and saw several single family homes in Old Brooklyn right around $20k. There were also some in the W.130th area around Bellaire. There are some decent ones out there in your price range. You just gotta do a little digging.
