I'm old. I would walk straight to Tower and head home.
I'm 25. I may stay out after the game, I may not. I may want to shut down the bars, or I may want to head home before the game even ends.

HAHA!

Good points! I think most bars where I live are closed by around 12:00. I'm 47 and it's the last thing I want to do. You'll get there someday.

HAVE FUN!!!!

The real question is: why doesn't the RTA announce train stops? Today, on the Red Line full of out of towers, not one station was announced, including Tower City. The conductor just sitting there; not one station was announced. Bizarre.

I've wanted to use it again but haven't because the last train I can take home leaves at 12:15 AM, which I think is very early. I usually suck it up and drive if I'm traveling by myself or split the cost of an uber with my roommates, as they know how to use that app. I'm curious as to why the RTA stops running so early. I'm assuming it's either funding or not wanting to deal with drunks on the trains. Does anyone have any insight?
Actually RTA recently implemented service cuts (along with a fare hike) whereby the last eastbound Green Line train now leaves Tower City every evening at 9p, except during the MLB playoffs where trains run for an hour after Indians games.

RTA reportedly extends Green Line service after major athletic events, such as the World Series, but riders should confirm this.

RTA expands service for World Series games, watch parties | Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority

Note that the Blue Line, with greater population density, continues to operate after 9 p.m. Persons could perhaps park near the Blue Line, or take Uber/Lyft from a Blue Line stop.

Back in the late 90s, when the Flats was hot and the Waterfront Line was new (opened summer '96), RTA started running all trains until 2a (last train leaving between 2-2:30a) on Friday and Saturday nights during the summer. Then the Flats declined and RTA hired a more conservative GM and, now, all trains stop by 12:30a even on summer weekends although most bars and clubs stay open until 2a and beyond.

This is the case pretty much in every city. I think maybe some people don't like it, but honestly there just isn't the demand. I know I vastly prefer having someone drop me off at my door step after leaving a bar at 2, not walking to a train station, waiting 10 minutes, walking from the station nearest my house. Having a friend drive or uber is simply possibly more expensive (not really if you're with friends, $4 is common with three people for me) and 1/4 the time.

Now if Cleveland were 3x the size it is, I think there's a better case here.

To each his own. I like the cost and social aspects of the train, and it better meets my needs. If carpooling is an option, I take it, but there's no way I'm taking an Uber alone.

That is strange! Another thing I find strance (and very annoying) is that the train doesn't seem to follow schedule.
