Again, the language of a climate change science denier.

Unlike you, I've actually documented my argument demonstrating the much colder temperatures of Cleveland winters past.

Let's not pretend that in the absence of empirical data that your position is very worthy.
I didn't deny a thing. You are making arguments on my behalf that I never made myself. For the record, you can make the observation I just said (that people use conflation when it suits them) and be on either end of the climate issue. It's anti-science to suggest that using an arbitrarily defined time frame and only looking at outliers suggests a trend. I expect much more from people making environmentalist points.

Totally true. I always wonder why they are paid so much when they aren't even that accurate. You really do need to keep checking for latest reports.

Comparing such cold with this year, when we haven't had a single day with a low below 0, let alone -5 F, is wrong.
I remember the winter of 1982. It was a rough one. But again, untypical.

And when did I compare the winter of 1982 with this year? I did no such thing.

Again, it's like I said: You can't very accurately predict weather 5 to 7 days out. It's very iffy.

I've heard meteorologists say that the only reason they give long range forecasts is because the public demands them. So they do the best they can.

You are an anti science trumpist.

Just this morning on NPR a meteorologist was being asked for 5 day forecast and he demurred, saying he couldn't accurately predict that far ahead. Case closed.

Forecasts for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday on local weathercasts are for lows of between 0 degrees and -5 degrees.

Accuweather says the lows will stay above 0 degrees as of the time of this post.

Well, we'll see who's right.

Of course, it also depends on specific location. Cleveland Hopkins might well dip below zero while Cleveland Burke remains above.

Personally, I'm much more concerned with wind chills. They've put a wind chill advisory in effect starting at 4 am Thursday and running all the way through noon on Saturday. It can be dangerous to be outside for very long.

BTW, they just said on FOX 8 News that the past ten days have been the second-worst stretch of cold weather in Cleveland since recordkeeping began, in terms of duration.
