Although it sounds like the people who took the trip liked what they saw, responses like "if it weren’t for my kids, I’d totally move" sounds non-committal to me. I.e., if it's really that great, why can't you move with your kids?

What are some actual examples of Silicon Valley money coming to NE Ohio?

Do people even keep tabs on stuff like that? Seems silly.

I'm sure Silicon Valley money have homes and stuff in Ohio/Midwest, since there are plenty of of them from here originally. Heck - Detroit is top 5 in the nation in millionaires last I checked.

I could see some movement towards the cities with research universities, i.e. Columbus, Ann Arbor, Madison, etc. Some moving from SF may even lean towards denser, bigger metros like Cleveland and Detroit. We'll just have to wait and see if there's anything to it.
