If we had great community leadership, we would be investing in blockchain and artificial intelligence software education at Cleveland State and the metro's junior colleges.

We likely won't. For years when the internet was in its infancy, educational offerings in Greater Cleveland were pathetic.

Cleveland's mindset still is not focused on a commitment to being on the cutting edge of nascent technologies. Hopefully, I'm wrong, but I've seen no indication in media reports, etc., that anything has changed. I'll bet most local leaders, whether political, media, business, would have a hard time explaining blockchain and its applications.

So why did you say that we have an emphasis on blockchain technology in our local economy? What do you know that I don't???

Bernie Moreno is trying to make it a thing here. People have generally jumped on the bandwagon, but there really isn't anyone who has articulated how it will actually impact systematic problems like infant mortality, access to drinking water, housing, labor, housing, etc. It's basically a "rising tide lifts all boats" mentality behind blockchain in Cleveland.

People can certainly have legitimate disagreements on this topic, but I do think not getting too invested in blockchain is probably for the best.

Blockchain technology is already being phased into banking. It's a exact ledger that can track anything. The technology is as big a breakthrough as the internet was.

Rich Americans move there to avoid taxes.

Proof that a lot of blockchain doesn't necessarily do much for a place.

Blockchain is here and it's the future. Crypto currency will also be used in the future. It is already being tested in some ATM machines In Toronto. I just wish my crystal ball would tell me what crypto coin to invest in LOL

Respectfully disagree.

IMO you're lucky you didn't buy crypto when they were all the rage a year ago.

Crypto currencies are a product and blockchain is a technology.

Dismissing blockchain technology because it is the fundamental technology underlying crypto currencies is akin to dismissing the internet because one of the most popular uses is the distribution of pornography.
