She’s the weird sister. She visits the grandkids in Chicago but won’t make the side trip to Cleveland to see me. When I lived in Portland, just under a two hour plane trip from LA to Portland, she wouldn’t visit me there either. We e-mail and talk on the phone but she just doesn’t seem to want to visit me wherever I live.
My other sister and her family from Toronto visits. They’re coming down next spring rather than at Christmas time as they’ve done every year since I have been living here. So now I have to plan spring activities

You answered while I was responding to QCongress. And yes that’s very true but I should have clarified in my first post that she comes to Chicago quite often to visit the grandkids and the distance between Chicago and Cleveland is not that far. Between the airport and Lakewood even closer.

I just casually mentioned maybe my sister would be encouraged to visit as a side trip when she visited Chicago if she read the article. Nothing to do with tourism. It's a family thing. Also nothing to do, really, with where I live but she does like museums etc. so that could be a bonus if she would decide to come here.
