Funny, I had the same exact thought watching the aerial views during the game.

It looks like Cleveland was bombed in the city center during WWII and hasn't yet rebuilt.

But everything else looked amazing!

I would expect a high-rise residential/hotel on Public Square NW lot somewhat near-term. With the redesign of PS, this property's desirability has jumped considerably.

The larges surface parking lots to its west should be high-density residential; not that transit center proposal from a year or so ago. Cleveland's residential boom is moving into large new construction projects. A mix of mid-to-high rise on the Superior Avenue border, coupled with a few new one-way streets for town homes or 1-4 unit residences, with mid-rise on St. Clair and some retail thrown-in would be ideal here. Plus, the lots are cleared and ready for dirt-turning.

Next, the lots at W 9th/St Clair south towards Superior Ave.

This is all just a matter of time.

Yes!! This is huge. In my opinion a waterfront/boardwalk/this space if it works well is almost as big as nuCLEus. Hoping it has some character to it, but I mean were not gonna see classic 19th century architecture resprouting itself, so this is the next best thing. Only thing I hope is (it is utilized year round, that East 4th/West 6th/Tremont/Ohio City/this don't cannibalize each other, and that there is some efficient and pleasant pedestrian means of getting from this to West 6th to Downtown.
