Play-daddy government footing the bill. Once you get it, it's hard to give it up.

Yeah, this is all made up, no basis in reality.

Btw, keep working your tail off to keep these free groceries, housing, and Obama phones flowing.

I met a guy that just moved into his remodeled, hardwood floor Section 8 apartment and had 2 Obama phones. Section 8 housing is not the roach infested dumps they once were; now you get the hardwood floors, appliances, and all the bells and whistles.

Landlords love it because the play-daddy government does the auto deposit every month into their accounts. The west side of Cleveland, including West Park, has lots of Section 8 houses; who else is gonna do the infill in these once stable neighborhoods as people keep moving further and further away from Cleveland and now, the County?

I'm not certain how the Cleveland Development thread became a welfare thread. It would be great if you started a separate thread and actually looked up and provided actual information rather than your anecdotal experience.

Here's one source that I found quickly:

<<
  • Its net income, or income after deductions are applied, must be at or below the poverty line.
  • Its assets must fall below certain limits: households without an elderly or disabled member must have assets of $2,250 or less, and households with an elderly or disabled member must have assets of $3,250 or less.[4]
What counts as income? SNAP counts cash income from all sources, including earned income (before payroll taxes are deducted) and unearned income, such as cash assistance, Social Security, unemployment insurance, and child support.

What counts as an asset? Generally, resources that could be available to the household to purchase food, such as amounts in bank accounts, count as assets. Items that are not accessible, such as the household’s home, personal property, and retirement savings, do not count. Most automobiles do not count.[5] States have the option to relax the asset limits, and many have done so.>>

I'm surprised if there are not any asset limits on houses, personal property, retirement savings or automobiles, and the case of a Geauga County resident suggests that there may not be any limits, as the value of these items apparently wasn't an issue in his case.

Thanks! I'll start tweaking my income to get my apartment, food card, and Obama phone.

Default Nucleus Project

Hey everybody.
I just want to know why there is a delay on the Nucleus Project. I know they just got all those tenants, but still, I have found nothing on groundbreakings. Is this a sign the project is just stalling it's cancellation and waiting on the 515 occupation numbers to see if they should invest, or are they actually going to build this thing. I want that Shake Shack asap.

Thanks

The latest I read, and I as well have been wondering what's been going on with nucleus, is Stark is expecting to close on financing in April.

515 Euclid is supposed to start this spring as the project just went through some minor modifications with City of Cleveland.

I want to know what's going on with the Weston project/s in the Warehouse District. Shake Shack will be great at nucleus but having those surface parking lots gone will be even better.

Hopefully Sherwin Williams builds on the northwest quadrant on Public Square, bus lanes or not.

I would sacrifice my arm to see those lots replaced with density.

Also has everyone seen this development of Stones Levee: http://x.lnimg.com/attachments/43E9A...11BE0853CA.pdf

Unfortunately it looks like Superior Avenue will be opened to buses in Public Square.

Was hoping Jackson could work something out on this but the old Cleveland race card was dealt with the Title VI Discrimination lawsuit. I saw a demonstration about this issue on the Square in December, someone from Cincinnati was railing on about transit on the Square. Who knew this would be such a touchy topic.

70% of RTA riders are African-American so that's that according the lawsuit.

I guess there's no more yoga classes on Public Square...lol...did anyone think that would last long in Cleveland? Cleveland is one of the poorest cities in the country. No way was Public Square going to be for suburban people to enjoy.

So this means 24/7 bus service directly into Public Square. This place will be trashed like the 1986 revamp was. Go get yoru last looks at a park designed by the world's best urban space planner.

Oh well.
