historic downtown buildings will be transformed into apartments using tax credits

Very happy something is going into these old buildings. Euclid from E9th - E12th always looked so shady, buildings with peeling paint, broken glass, and fully growing trees sitting the gutters!! hopefully this'll bridge the gap.

Guess a lot of people do not browse other sites for development happening in Cleveland? Other sites are so much more busy as far as Cleveland development goes.

Anyway, I was recently wondering about this project due to the fact it is in an area that on every corner literally there is a project under construction, and found out that the Cleveland Institute of Art's expansion will get underway this year.

I just found this construction cam the other day. Cleveland's newest skyscraper is topped out, and you get see the Aloft hotel has a couple more floors to go. A great construction cam, and gives some nice renders as well.

What are your takes on this? Looks like Mayor Jackson's plan for a greener public square is on the horizon as well as The Group Plan to turn Mall's A, B, and C into a greener park or recreational area based on the public's input

I like Frank Jackson and he clearly has a vision, but these visions have price tags... taxes. I am all about education (the new Cleveland public schools initiative), but the new port's plan that was in the Plain Dealer yesterday seems so out-of-touch. I like the whole idea of keeping a working port around attractions like parks, restaurants, and work spaces. Problem is, these new big plans coming out have plans to go forward only with large tax increases. Either way, I see a lot of positives happening in these very areas that only start something great, so we will see.
