Hi-
I'm flying to Cleveland in June or July with my parents (I've never been to OH)
for the Rock Hall of Fame.

What's good to do in Cleveland besides that??

Mom hasn't been to OH since driving through Cincinnati with Dad c. 1970.
Dad has been to OH for consulting engineering work prolly within the last 5 years.

My parents have been to Cleveland but not the Rock Hall.

Thanks,
fallguy

Without knowing age or interests, here's a decent rundown:

- Playhouse Square (2nd largest theater district outside of NYC Broadway)
- Little Italy
- University Circle (museums, Botanical Gardens, etc)
- Indians game
- Site-see downtown
- Cleveland Zoo and Metroparks
- Usually big name concerts in the summer. (House of Blues, etc)
- Iron Chef Michael Symon restaurant "Lola"
- Comedy clubs ("Hilarities" or "ImProv")
- Warehouse District and E.4th neighborhood of bars and clubs
- Other tourist attractions: A Christmas Story house, Westside Market, Great Lakes Brewery, IMAX theater at Great Lakes Science Center, Cleveland Orchestra

There's also a lot of festivals during the summer, so check online once you choose a date.

If you look around a little bit, there are many threads similar to this.

Costello_Musicman did a pretty good job.

The main things are of course: Sports: Indians game, Theaters downtown and in University Circle, Cleveland Zoo, Restaurants, Bars, Nightclubs, Entertainment Districts, Comedy Clubs, Concerts, Museums, Beaches, and a lot more. Of course there is always site seeing in the area. You could see downtown, Shaker Hts., Little Italy, rich areas like Pepper Pike, Hunting Valley.

There is a lot of things to do, but it just depends on what kinds of things you are interested in.

Default Cool Cleveland

Went to some of these events in the past few years. A good time. Not sure if mentioned by any one else on this forum, probably not. Great optional events go unnoticed. Some offers at this link have more to give than to meet your future spouse at a "sports bar", and it doesn't really require a dress code at these events, but don't be a slob or a snob. I was at a few of these events, one in the past where there was a party in rehabbed warehouse space, free for all to look around, and inquire about investing in a loft space with great food and drink for a package price, passes later to go across the street to the Beachland to see live music.

You can bowl, shoot pool/play video downtown and the still new, trendy Corner Alley until 12-1a most nights; later on weekends. You can see outdoor or open/under cover theatre, hear concerts at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights, take a cruise on the Goodtime III in Lake Erie & up the Cuyahoga (last 2 in summer only)... And there are many exciting little entertainment-walking districts scattered from downtown to throughout the city and close in suburbs, like Ohio City, Little Italy, Shaker Square or Coventry (and many in between)… Or, perhaps most of all, experience our awesome parks network -- from Edgewater park/beach, just west of downtown, to Headlands beach in Mentor to Shaker lakes, in Shaker, to the amazing Emerald Necklace chain completely encircling the city in the suburbs. For a city Cleveland's size, you have things to do more on the scale and quality of bigger towns, like Philly (and much more than Detroit).

If you like the NFL you make a little bit of a road trip down to Canton to see the Football Hall of Fame. It's about an hour south of Cleveland.
