Hi All:

I am planning on accepting a job with a company in Independence, OH. I have three little kids (seven and five year old twins). Good public schools are the highest priority. I also travel a lot. So safety and friendly neighborhoods are a priority. We are from India (I have lived here a long time) but still cultural diversity is very important.

Any recommendation on good neighborhoods would be appreciated. Any other useful tips about living in cleveland would also be appreciated.

Regards,

Independence is a great area. Very safe, and the school systems are among the best. You are around a great area. Brecksville, North Royalton, Sagamore Hills, and Seven Hills are all very nice towns nearby. You are close to the Cuyahoga Nat'l Park, and lots of shopping. Diversity is growing in Cleveland. Cleveland is one of America's most diverse cities. The Indian population in Cleveland and all of Ohio is among the largest in the nation.

Independence is a nice area. Also check out Orange, Pepperpike, Hunting valley and Solon. These areas all have good schools and are a little more culturally diverse as well as close to Cleveland's cultural institutions.

Independence schools were recently ranked 13th in Northeast Ohio area. As we know schools is an important criteria when it comes to home buying and selling

Don't forget Valley View, bordering the west side of Independence. Isn't there a problematic landfill in this city? MABCle might know.

I second these neighborhoods. I think Monte Ahuja, the Asian Indian dude/CSU Alumni, who donated 30 million dollars to University Hospitals of Cleveland lives in Hunting Valley.
