I appreciate all the comments and still strongly considering Vermilion as she grew up there but left a few years after graduating from the high school. She has friends there and I have a few. The drive to Amherst/Lorain or Sandusky doesnt bother either of us. BTW, I personally have been to the Festival of the fish and Wooly Bear many times. Great outings.

If you are into fish and aquariums, Vermillion has the best salt water fish store in all of Ohio.

We love Vermillion's quaint ambiance. It also has one of the best restaurants in Ohio, Chez Francois on main street.

Vermillion is one of the best communities on Lake Erie...I think the only one I like better is Geneva-on-the-Lake.
