^ Indeed, Sunview performs by far the best of the SE-L schools. It is also the only one with just Lyndhurst students. On top of that, its only k-3. Deservedly or not, it seems the majority of Lyndhurst kids go to private schools and I'm sure some of that is safety concerns. SE-L does offer honors programs and offers lots of programs in conjunction with neighboring districts. It's probably one of the better performing districts that's majority minority but there's little doubt it has some issues with unruliness. I don't think SE is going to completely fall apart anytime soon but it has an iffy reputation for a number of reasons and the schools don't help it any.

In regards to safety, there's not a single street in Lyndhurst that I'd be fearful walking alone at night. I also think that most of South Euclid is fine, but the quietest/nicest parts are going to be roughly east of Belvoir and south of Monticello.

South Euclid has a large Orthodox Jewish population, and the area by Cedar Road has almost all Kosher and Jewish stores. The area is well above safe.
