I am moving to the Cleveland area from S. Florida and was wondering if there are any Latin Markets in the area? I love using mojo marinade for chicken, meats and with plantains. Any suggestions or has any seen Badia mojo in any local supermarket?

Thanks

Forgive me if this store is geared towards the wrong area/types of food you are looking for, but maybe try this one?:

La Borincana Foods
The music, aromas, and friendly atmosphere that greets you at this family-run shop at the edge of Ohio City is like a quick trip south-of-the-border. They stock foodstuffs from all over the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. You'll find different kinds of chorizo sausage, masa harina to make your own tortillas, dried corn husks for making tamales as well as a diverse selection of produce.

La Borincana
2127 Fulton Rd.
Cleveland Ohio
216 651-2351

Here is a link with a few reader reviews of the market listed above - and a pic of the building:

La Borincana is awesome and carries many brands of Mojo or stuff to make your own . There are plantains in several stages of ripeness. Daves Supermarket's Ohio City location 2700 Carroll Ave also has many Latin items. The westside market down the street has all the great ethnic cuts of meat including skirt steak (best skirt: Vinces beef stand) .

Hone your latin cooking skills now and steal recipes from friends, family, co workers, whoever, b/c you will not find much good Cubano food here.

Yeah, I was thinking about the Westside Market, they seem to have a lot of different stuff there.

Cruise through the Hispanic areas like W25th and Lorain and you find a mamacita and papacita store here and there. There are a few in Akron too. West Side Market is your best shot, and something you should experience anyway if you have not yet.

W. Side Market will have some latin staples like meats, plaintains and such. The produce stand closest to w.25th is good for that kind of stuff. Daves has Badia as well as Goya products such as Mojo
