Crazy! How often do you see that in the sports world, let alone for the same city?

Default Cavs sweep Pistons

The Cavs have just swept the Pistons 4-0 in the 1st round of the playoffs.

In the 2nd round we will either face the Heat or the Hawks, the Heat are ahead 2-1 but it could go either way.

Some more good news is that the Celtics and Magic are both having trouble. Theyre both 2-2 against teams that they were supposed to win against easily, or even sweep. The Bulls and 76ers have really stepped up.

The Cavs match up good against the Heat and the Hawks. Against the Heat in the regular season they were 3-1, and against the Hawks they were also 3-1.

I dont think we will have any problem against the Heat or the Hawks. I could be wrong though.

The Celtics and Magic will both be a challenge though. For some reason Im worried more about the Magic than the Celtics. If I remember correctly, we havent been doing so good against them lately. The Celtics are playing without a few good players (namely Kevin Garnett). We took them to 7 games last year, and we are a much better team this year.

Hopefully Chicago and Philly can extend their first round matchups with Boston and Orlando. It will be really good for the Cavs when they play against one of those teams.

I'm not that concerned about Orlando or Boston. I know the Magic played the Cavs tough this year and gave them problems at time, but I think some of their flaws have been exposed against Philly; they rely way too heavily on the 3-pointer, especially when during the playoffs there is a lot more half-court grind it out kind of games where almost every shot is contested. And Boston w/out KG or Leon Powe, just don't scare me like they did before. I will be surprised actually if Orlando doesn't knock Boston off. The only team that scares me is the Lakers, but I will be definitely disappointed if the Cavaliers aren't in the NBA Finals this year. If they meet Los Angeles and find a way to beat them, it will be icing on the cake and time to celebrate!

Either Friday night or Sunday afternoon, the Miami-Atlanta series is 2-2 right now as they are playing Game 5, the winner tonight will have an opportunity to wrap the series up Friday night. If that happens, Game 1 would be played Sunday afternoon at the Q. If not and the series goes 7 games, then Game 1 won't be until Tuesday or Wednesday.

If I remember correctly, last year we took the Celtics to 7 games and the Lakers only took them to 6 in the finals.

This year we are a much better team, and probably even better than the Celtics were last year so I think we will be able to beat the Lakers in the finals. Assuming that both the Cavs and the Lakers make it to the finals.

That might be correct if all things were the same, but keep in mind, the Lakers didn't have Andrew Bynum last year in the playoffs, and they had only had Pau Gasol for less than 1/2 a season. Granted, Bynum is not 100%, but still he will be a factor, and Trevor Ariza has really improved his play this season also.

The big thing is that the Cavaliers will have home court in that series, b/c I see it probably going 7 games, and that would be a huge edge to have Game 7 at the Q. I will be very disappointed if the Cavaliers aren't playing in the NBA Finals.
