^These are houses...normal houses

Built probably 1920's.

My guess is that they're fairly expensive...some of them are rented out at around $2500 a month.

Default Cold Storage Building Demolition

This is about 2 blocks away from my house, taken around about 2 hours ago. On the left we see the familiar landmark buildings. On the right is the cold storage building that has been going down for months. ODOT is planning to build another bridge next to the innerbelt bridge, making the existing bridge eastbound only. They couldn't use explosives for fear of disrupting the existing bridge. Many people are taking pictures, as the process is like a slow-motion waterfall of concrete and steel, very appocolyptic. I have dozens of pictures, mostly from a couple of weeks ago. The large dark towering object near the middle is part of a railway bridge that spans the Cuyahoga, but like many of the bridges around here, it has to be lifted to allow larger ships to pass. the section over the river is pulled up by cables going around the wheel you see at the top of the tower, and on a similar tower on the east bank. The boom with trusswork that seems to grow out of the tower is an unrelated object. It's a crane with a wreking ball.
