Our family used to go to Mentor Headlands frequently... just curious why no one mentions Edgewater 3 miles from downtown... Do people fear it b/c it's so close to Cleveland's industrial sewage outlets? It appears a nice beach; often crowded, w/ many other activities (fishing, frisbee, etc.) on the grass; rocks, etc. It's a Cleveland gem; but folks always seem to shy away from mentioning the beach.
