It's been said that Tom and Del were Cleveland's version of Bob and Doug McKenzie of SCTV's Great White North.

At Brookpark and Ridge Rd intersection. Pete's Wayside Inn on the northwest corner, and the brick manufacturing ovens on the northeast.
About one half mile north on Ridge was the old abandoned airport.
And about one half mile east on Brookpark was a huge dump/landfill that was where the clay for the bricks had been excavated. It was also right next to the Yorktown Theater parking lot.

Davis Bakery.

They used to have various retail stores in the Cleveland area, including one on Euclid Avenue between Babbitt Rd and 260th St in the 1970's. It looks like they are now down to one retail store on Chagrin Blvd and a factory at Renaissance Parkway.

Near-west side/Ohio City memories from the 1960s and 1970s:

On Lorain Avenue
Fridrich’s Bike Shop
Hot Dog Inn
Mevoli’s Pizza
Laub’s Bakery “Day-Old” store
Marvin’s Dime Store
Steve’s Lunch
Kreizak’s Bowling Alley
Royal Castle attached to the bank building
Johnson’s Novelty Shop
Cici’s Pizza (not the chain that exists today)
Pick-n-Pay

On West 25th Street
Gray Drug
Fries and Schuele (had their own blue stamps, similar to S & H green stamps)
Wooworth’s
Neisner’s
Giant Tiger
The Barber College

Summers in the early and mid-1970s: The city hired college students to work in the playgrounds as activity directors. No matter which playground it was, they were universally called “Teach” and “Coach” by the kids that hung out. A few of the playgrounds had above ground swimming pools which were put up at the start of each summer and then taken down around Labor Day. My “turf” was the playground adjacent to Howells and Kentucky schools.

Miscellaneous
Open gym and rec-room on Friday evenings at St. Paul’s Community Church on West 45th and Bridge, with Rev. Keith keeping an eye on things. The tall/hollow iron cross outside the church that made a cool echo noise when it was struck with something solid.
West Side YMCA
Kentucky school summer gardens
Mrs. Joseph’s corner store
Al’s corner store
The “haunted” castle on Franklin Avenue
The Eagle Market
Dari-Delight
The “rummage” stores on Detroit Avenue

I bet she did! LOL

I shouldn't poke fun at her - she was a groundbreaking female journalist in her day. She just probably should have retired a few years before she did.
