This is what the younger kids are like in Cleveland right now.. not to mention all the 30th vs case vs longwood vs g v vs cedar vs quincy etc all that is going on. they all think they are "gangs" yet most aren't affiliated. so yes, cleveland has a gang problem, even if it's not typical bloods vs crips

Actually, statistically speaking.. that area to Cuddell is one of the worst / highest crime areas in the entire city. So posers or not, it's one of the worst areas in the city. Not saying those kids are thugs, but it's kids like that who try to prove themselves bc they are immature. The area where in the last few years not ONE but TWO Cleveland Cops have lost their lives.

Why? When they steal, rob, shoot people, sell drugs, etc. are they still posers?

If they are posers, then what is the real thing? South Central LA is just like the hoods of Cleveland except there's more Mexicans, same poverty and same greed. What people consider "O.G.s" probably grew up watching older hustlers or Italian Gangsters, then the Italians probably got it from someone else. It pretty much all goes back to growing up rough, being in poverty, looking tough, power, and greed.

When I think of "wannabe gangsters" or "posers" I think of the kids in places like Parma and Westlake who just watched too many rap videos, and want to look cool. Not kids from inner city ghettos in Cleveland, who grew up around this stuff with single parent households in poverty, it was their environment and all they know. I've lived it myself, seen these kids drug addicted parents teaching them to steal from their own friends at 5 years old. There's a lawless sense in the hood, in some situations the kids have to join a gang to avoid getting their a** kicked everyday. Local thugs join to protect their neighborhood from outsides trying to take over, thus creating a "gang". I don't consider these people posers.

You want to see posers drive around Avon and take note of the wealthy white kids wearing oversized South Pole begging adults walking by to get them alcohol and blunts (for weed) from the convenience store because they're too young to buy it, so they can go home and have a party with their "homies" while their parents are at work.

I'm well aware of the societal problems in the area and I'm very knowledgeable in what comprises a gang. However, none of what you say changes anything about the kids in that video. Half of them aren't even old enough to know what being a gangster is. One minute they're outside with a video camera flashing nonsensical gang signs made up on the spot after watching a music video. The next minute, they're chasing an ice cream truck.

It makes no difference where they are from. Even in Cudell, a very small fraction of the population is a violent criminal. And, that's exactly it; Those kids were imitating what they see on TV. Also, did you know that two cops were killed between Twinsburg and Boston Heights over the past 2 years? My God!! Twinsburg and Boston Heights must also be a hotbed of gang activity!!!

Definitely old enough to bang... age is not the issue.
