Seems like other Great Lake cities like Chicago and Toronto are doing the same thing. Cleveland is joining the pack. Buildings that use extremely bright lights now turn them off around 11:40 PM as to not blind the birds. I guess birds fly into the buildings and kill themselves because the lighting blinds them. It is weird though, you think lighting the buildings up would let the birds see exactly where they are. Anyway, Terminal Tower was lite up an blue tonight for some reason? Terminal Tower is now dark and so is the Public Square 200 buildings.

Terminal Tower often has lighting corresponding to events. Perhaps the blue was for the Cavaliers? Or maybe Good Friday? I know it was lit up in green for St. Patty's Day.

I read that the blue was for Autism awareness.

I think it's great that they turn off the lights at night! Maybe we'll be able to see a couple stars in the sky.

I like the idea as well. The buildings don't need to be lite up after a certain time at night. The buildings look nice from 7-11 when you have most of the traffic going by. After that, you are not only saving the birds , but you are also saving energy.
