Could anyone help me out? They were to begin development of the view on water street the first quarter of 2010 but I'm getting the impression it may not happen. I haven't been able to find any recent news on the issue. Then there is the north riverfront development. Are there any recent articles on these projects?

The View on Water Street (in Downtown Wilmington at Princess & N. Front Street) is slated to become a mixed hotel/residential project with a 130-room hotel occupying the first 6-7 floors and luxury condos above. Once permits are in place construction will begin in 2010; anticipated opening is 2011. http://www.theviewonwaterstreet.com/

CN Hotels announced plans to construct a 7-story, 125-room Courtyard Marriott hotel in Downtown Wilmington at the corner of 2nd and Grace streets. Meeting space will accommodate small groups and weddings. The hotel hopes to break ground the Fall of 2010 with an anticipated opening of Fall 2011.

Neither of these have been in the news lately... I think they are in holding patterns until they get the proper permits and money to build...
