Hi all,

I'm looking at a job possibility in Hertford, NC. From what I've read, stay away from paying high Elizabeth city provided power utilities and the crime ambiance, too.

The thread title cities that surround Hertford seem less crime-ridden according to a website tool I use. In case you find it helpful, its: Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed

My question is does anyone have a take on crime and anything significant about relocating to any or all of my subject cities? Would be just me age 47 and my Chihuahua. Thanks kindly for any help!

Linda in Las Vegas

Nothing in that area would possibly compare to Vegas in terms of crime. None of those towns you mentioned are anywhere near Hertford, either.

Default crime comparison to LV?

I'm not clear. Is crime better or worse in NC areas with which you are familiar? Re towns I mentioned, I'll check proximity with Mapquest. Perhaps map I used is misleading. Thx.

That area is about as rural as rural gets. Elizabeth City is probably the least safe place around there and even then it's a situation where if you aren't involved in illicit activities yourself, you'll likely never encounter it. Hope this answers your question.
