I am looking to relocate from the Rocky Mount area to Greenville. I am wondering if West 5th street is one of Greenville's bad areas? Specifically about a couple blocks east of Thomas Foreman Park. And to enlighten me, if you could specifically tell me the areas to stay away from, that would be much appreciated.

I am not looking to raise a family in this area, or jog at midnight, but I wouldn't like to see a drug deal going down when I'm getting the morning paper.....wait....drug dealers aren't up at that time of the day. Well, you know what I mean. I hope.

Thanks!

Yeah, that area right where you're looking at can get very rough after dark.

I'd look anywhere south and east of Greenville Blvd. except directly along NC 33. Make sure you stay about 1/4 mile away from Greenville Blvd. If you look at the crime maps it's is almost like a lawless area from G-ville Blvd. north. Bizarre.

Where you are asking about is the stereotypical bad part. It is worse off of 5th St. But I wouldn't live there.
