Are there any apartments, condos, townhomes, or houses for rent in Currituck County and how would I be able to look at them online?

check the local newspaper and craigslist.

Most grocery stores have a little display with something like an 'apartment guide' that are free to take...

call the chamber of commerce and ask...

There are not many rentals in Currituck County. The county does not allow apartments complexes per se but there are occasional homes for rent. Your best bet to find these homes is to ride around through the county and look for signs. The Daily Advance is the closest paper of significance with classified ads that can be checked online next would be the Virginian Pilot out of Norfolk (also online classifieds). There is a little paper in Currituck called the Independent with classifieds but I don't believe they have a website that you can browse them on. You might get some help from one of the real estate companies in Currituck but they don't deal much with rentals.

With the slow housing market there are more rentals right now than at any other time but even so they are expensive (1 to 1.5k per month) and not plentiful. They are expensive because the owners would really rather sell them.

Happy hunting! Let me know if I can help you.

Try Craigslist or Google "OBX long term rentals".That'll give you links to several companies offering long term rentals.

You shouldn't have a problem.....
