does anyone know of any SMALL towns that has buildable land on a river?? I'm looking for marsh front property, but not too far on the coast bc job will be in raleigh and will need to commute...

You'll be looking at a 2 hour commute one way. There are patches of reasonable buildable land here and there. But it's getting very scarce.

I get back home (Topsail Beach) every chance I get from Raleigh and it's 2 and 1/4 hours there and 2 and a 1/4 back.
