Is it possible to have Spring fever in December? I did today! Temperatures reached the low 70's today, so I deserted my desk, my computer, the indoors and got my bike out for a photo safari of Beaufort NC. If you'd like to view the photos and the story, visit here: Vibrant Village

Beautiful pictures. We were out yesterday also enjoying the warm weather in Swansboro. We had lunch at the Icehouse-- great shrimp tacos, and I bought a bike to better enjoy the rest of the warm weather.
Isn't a bike the perfect speed to pedal around our towns and see all the historic homes, flowers--and this time of year, the Christmas decorations?. We bike all year here--just wear ski jackets in Jan/Feb. I think we missed only two days last year when we got that unexpected little snowstorm--in two days all the snow had melted and back we went on our bikes...
Supposed to get colder tomorrow, so am glad I got out yesterday and got my ice cream and basked in the sun like a lazy lizard...
Oh thank you for the wonderful pictures. I absolutely ADORE Beaufort and health issues have prevented me from getting there recently. But come February I'll be there for a visit ... to breath in some of that wonderful salt water smell and walk under those old oak trees, even if it is cold. But in the mean time your photos were good comfort for this soul. Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks for your nice comments! It's so wonderful to hear of others' fondness for this little village of Beaufort. Cool little town.
