We're moving to Jacksonville in May/June and beginning the house hunting process....

We have two big dogs and a baby, and I would love to be in a neighborhood with lots of areas to walk and also in the vicinity of a nice park and/or water so we can enjoy the outdoors there as well.

If the neighborhood had mature trees, that would be a bonus

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! My husband will be stationed at Lejeune, and we are open to the Jacksonville, Hubert, Swansboro areas and possibly a few others. We'd love to stay under the $200K range, if possible.

Thanks so much!

Sneads Ferry has a new development called Oyster Landing with a planned playground. There are also several other new developments in SF in your price range.

However, you might also enjoy the existing areas in the city of Jacksonville. There's a downtown waterfront park and historic area that are safe enough to walk and bike in. Areas along Piney Green Road and Gum Branch Road have older brick houses with lots of mature trees. It should not be have to find something under $200K.

The Commons of Jacksonville has all of what you are looking for. Homes in that price range, walking/running paths, schools in the neighborhood, all the best shopping less than 5 mins away.
