Spring at the coast is often a very windy time. We had winds over 20 MPH yesterday afternoon along our section of the Crystal Coast.

When I wake up this time of year, the wind is often more important to me than the temperature. With a bright Carolina sun, it can be very warm even on a cool day if you are out of the wind or if the wind isn't blowing.

Being a boater helps make you think about wind more than most folks.

Here are some more thoughts about wind on the coast in March. Did it blow a lot in your neighborhood yesterday? Are you like me and always trying to wait for the wind to die down before sneaking out?
