Looking for your reviews re places to stay in Ocracoke. Heard from a friend that they really like to stay at Oscar's B&B, but a couple of online reviews faulted the lack of cleanliness there (not very appealing). Then found a sweet looking place online called Crews Inn, but it hasn't had many reviews...so we are open to hearing your thoughts about those and about other options you're familiar with. We'd like a place with both character and breakfast, if possible, and someplace that's not too expensive. Don't need anything fancy, but certainly want it to be reasonably clean.

Thank you, group!

We always stay at the Pony Island Motel and Cottages...good price, not fancy and clean.

We spend a week in Duck every Summer. Last year, instead of a day trip down to Ocracoke, we decided to extend that a bit and spent one night there in the middle of our vacation week. We stayed at the Ocracoke Harbor Inn (mainly because they could accommodate us for 1 night in July). Nothing fancy, but it was clean, the beds were comfy and it was a quick walk to the main drag.

The Lightkeepers Guest House is wonderful. I can't believe I'm sharing this with everyone.

havent heard of either places OP mentioned.

anchorage inn is okay, blackbeards lodge is ok, and before we had the dog that is glued to my side, we stayed at the sand dollar, which we always favored. blackbeards and anchorage are both pet friendly.

My nephews spend every summer working at Ocracoke, they had suggested Edwards to us, recently. Will be going soon I hope. For a wedding in 2010 we stayed at Pony Island, it was reasonable, and clean.
