Nonprofit group Save the Cape has drafted language it hopes to insert in the state's budget bill that would block any possible port on the Cape Fear River in Brunswick County. One state senator says the possibility of a port being built there is unlikely because of the cost.

While I understand that building the port has been on hold, I think that blocking the study is a bad idea.

They would have to have a four lane 55mph road (at least), as opposed to River Road. You would think the Army, with MOT Sunny Point, could help influence it.

Get that to intersect Future I-140 with the Cape Fear Skyway, and now we are cooking with grease in Brunswick County.
