So I have already gotten my pistol permits from the sheriffs office. I am getting my mother in laws pistol has a gift and thats the purpose of my pistol permit. I know I give her the white paper… I am confused what to do with the pink paper. I am reading conflicting information about this topic. Most of the things I have read state you just need the permit to buy the gun, thats all and there is no need to register it with the sheriff. The bottom of my pink form however says it is to be attached to the "intent to purchase" form and returned to the sheriffs office. First of all I don't what the intent to purchase form is, there isn't one on the website, nor could I find anything that seemed like it on google. Second, isn't that technically registering my firearm? Which is not mandatory in north carolina? Thanks.
