Rehearsal Dinner for late September wedding 2013

approximately 40 guests, prefer buffet type set-up

Dinner will be held in a river home venue

Son works in New Bern area, we live in Topsail Island area

Emails with names of really good caterers would be great!

Thanks for anyone who can share ideas!

Pat

Moores BBQ
Moore?s Olde Tyme Barbeque
and Friday's 1890spring to mind.
Friday's 1890 Seafood

There may be caterers not associated with restaurants. I stumbled across this one: Stange and Sons Catering

Thanks, I have seen both of these, but don't know anyone who has ever tasted their food

or experienced their catering practices. I hate to spend $$$ and the food be just mediocre,

no slur intended against either of the mentioned restaurants.

Looking for those who have been to a function that was catered and food was EXCELLENT.

Have HIGH Hopes LOL!

Where in the New Bern area is the event? You are wise to be cautious. What type of food is your preference? Southern or Continental?
Does the venue already have tent/shelter, tables chairs etc or do you want the caterer to handle? I owned a restaurant in the area and know most of the restaurants and caterers capabilities, and who provides the best quality and value. A big factor is your expectations of the menu and service. I would be glad to help steer you.
