What's it like in the winter time in the Outer Banks? I am planning to move down in the Outer Banks Kill Devil Hills area in November, December time. I plan to stay for more than twelve months. I want to get a work job in housekeeping at a resort hotel. I am mature for my age at 49. I will be coming from Raleigh North Carolina. I grew up in Upper Arlington, Ohio. I am looking for a place to rent lease.

I have been in Duck, N. C. when it was raining sideways and it wasn't even Winter. The first half of that week was beautiful. It is North Carolina. If you don't like the weather just stick around and it will change. It can be really windy and cold in that area but so refreshing!

It's DEAD there in the winter. A lot of businesses close for the winter. Weather is cold, but mild.

Winter is the best time to find a deal on renting.

I will be going after long term yearly lease $700 - $800 per month. Finding out area real estate agents do long term rentals.

My point was as a if i was a property owner if I had opportunity to rent my place year around I would work with you on the price. And winter is the best time to find a workable situation. The summer season last for 10 weeks. By November that beach property is more burden than pleasure, when bills continue to come in, when rental income isn't. And the property tax bill will also be coming due. People get reasonable in the winter months.

The population of Dare County is about 34,500 according to the Census Bureau. That's a slightly larger area than just the Outer Banks,
