Wilmington-filmed The Conjuring topped the weekend box office, pulling in about $41 million. The thriller, which filmed in the region last year, spent $17 million in the state for production.

This movie is stated it base on a true story, the original farm house is in Rhode Island.
Does anyone know where the house they used for filming is located and maybe provide a Google address
Thanks

SunnyKayak, what a great link to info on movie happenings in Wilmington!

I know there are links there too for working in films as extras.

Once upon a time, I did some work there as an extra.

It's a very interesting experience!

They seem to desire many more young adults vs retirees who have lots of time!

Still, it's worth investigating to have your shot at fame!

I thought it was a good link too, I ended up distracted on it for about hour reading the past entries. I bookmarked it to look at it more in future.

I think it really on what filmed is about so it appears realistic to core what the movie is based on. For example if they did a movie on Golden Girls then college age students wouldn't fit.

I think it great Wilmington is location of Blockbusters as Im sure in movie buisness world Wilmington is getting the buzz shared as an affordable place to make movies.

I hope to see it this weekend

Does anyone know where the house they used in the movie shown in the trailer above? I would love to look it up on Google satellite.

I know the house they used is somewhere around Currie in Pender County. They also built sets at EUE Screen Gems Studios.

That was a really good movie, it had me jumping, but my partner thought it was alright but he reads books and has countless of these kind of movies so it was not thrilling to him as he thought it should have been more in depth.

Here a link to the property, nice secluded spot, they should make it a haunted trail - house.
