I'm trying to research what areas of Greenville would be the safest places to live. I'm from the Northeast and do not know the area at all. I know there a good amount of apartments around Universities. What areas could I live in without being surrounded by Universities? I would be even willing to look outside Greenville if areas are better. Thank you!!!

I would suggest the Bells Fork area, which has a lot of apartments and is very safe. Someone on here had a guide for Bells Fork Apts not too long ago. Bells Fork is easily accessible to most of Greenville, except it can be a haul to the Hospital area or Industrial area north of town. But you have the same issues if you are in the Winterville area, which is a viable alternative as well.

I'd suggest looking in Winterville or other towns outside Greenville if you want to avoid students. Look for a single family house if your budget can afford it. Check Hotpads and Craigslist. There are houses as low as $650 in Winterville. Otherwise, you could use the search function to find past postings like this: //www.city-data.com/forum/coast...ts-please.html

Farmville is a nice small town...and on the other side Washington has a beautiful historic waterfront district.
