Solar what? If you just want panels, Home Depot sells them now. If you are near the coast, the panels will have to be installed to support hurricane-force wind loads.

Looking out my window at the gray skies today, I would suggest looking at geothermal systems. They are a good alternative if you have the space and just want to save money on electricity.
