Hello, my family is considering a vacation to this beautiful area of the state; probably along the Wilmington beach coast area. I am looking for some counsel on places to stay. We are on a tight budget so the most we would like to spend is about $100 a night. We will be traveling from Raleigh, so maybe someone can recommend a nice beach to stay on. We would like to be able to stay on the beach and have the hotel/motel have a pool for the kids to play in at night time. Thanks so much!!
Hi everyone, we are going to go in early June and we are up for any beach wrightsville, carolina and/or kure. I am looking for a recommendation on which beach is the best and where to stay at a budget price. Thanks.
that is going to be in season. your best bet would be someplace in carolina beach. you won't find anything that cheap in wrightsville. I would also consider topsail beach.
I go to Wrightsville Beach every year. Consider staying in Wilmington, its only about 5 miles to Wrightsville Beach and MUCH cheaper. Hampton Inn and Suites the one on Collage Road is really nice, and the Jamison is very nice killer breakfast. Visiting the historic district of Wilmington is really nice, lots to see and do it is also about 5 miles from the center of Wilmington. I would love to stay in a hotel on the water, but can not afford or justify the expense. Check out the difference in room rates.
We are going in June and have stayed at Kure/Carolina (plus Oak Island) but have never stayed in Wrightsville. I was wondering the differences between Wrightsville and Kure/Carolina. We like to be on a semi-quiet beach but one with things to do, places to eat, etc... (We loved Oak Island, but it was a bit tooooo quiet for us). Also, I noticed there's surfing on Wrightsville beach...is it a rougher, bigger surf/waves than Kure? We have a 5 year old, and I would rather not go to somewhere that has a rougher or bigger surf than Kure. Thanks!
