I recently picked up a real estate magazine, and saw three new developments that may interest people wanting to move to Wilmington. I am not a Realtor, and have no vested interest in these developments.

The first is centrally located. The Forks at Barclay is located at 17th and Independence, near a new 500 acre shopping, office and residential park. Trusst Builder Group is developing furnished model homes to be open in Spring of 2015. Both townhomes and single family homes will be available, but no information was available on prices. See the website: http://www.theforksatbarclay.com/

The second is a new section of an established Active Adult community. Mt Carmel is a new section of The Village at Motts Landing will have all lawncare provided in the HOA fee. Homes priced from $398,500 to $479,500, and it is outside the city tax zone. See http://www.premierhomesatmottslanding.com/

The third development is north of the city on the Cape Fear River. River Bluffs features a marina, village center and an organic farm, as well as parks, trails and boat storage. Single family homes will be priced from $350,000. See the website http://www.riverbluffsliving.com/

Don't forget One Midtown, which is an apartment community on Independence Blvd between Oleander and Shipyard. It is also on the Cross City Trail and may be the largest apartment community in the Roland Grise-Hoggard school districts...

One Midtown Apartments

And FWIW, the Forks project is basically another extension of Pine Valley, which has a private Country Club that can be joined...the single family homes there are a rare opportunity to build new in Wilmington. Those are valuable lots. It is also in the Roland Grise-Hoggard districts.
