We finally made it to New Bern for a visit and like it a lot. So far we have visited two apartment compldxes and today drove by several homes for rent south of New Bern. One, in particular, that we liked is in Taberna. It seems to be a lovy community. If youhad experience with Taberna, would really love your input. Also, info re: the country club there...wonering how affordable it is (we are seniors). We're not golfers, but like the idea of a nice pool in the community, and the social aspects of membership. Whatever info you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Have you checked out Fairfield Harbour? There are both houses and condo's for rent there.
Indoor and outdoor pool, and lots of other recreation.
