I am just beginning my home search -somewhere close to the coast between Raleigh and SC border. Knowing what you know now, where would you recommend I look? And why? Do you know of any new construction? Thaks for helping me to narrow this down.
Seems like a vague question. I think it would depend upon weather you would need to find work, budget, need good schools and what you like? Between Raleigh and SC is a wide range.. We picked Hampstead. For schools and being close to beach and close to Wilmington. We choose New construction there.
You're asking 2 very different questions. Where did I choose to live and where should you choose to live. My reasons are probably very different from yours. What are your criteria? Will you need to work? Are schools important? Big town, small town?
In or around Winston Salem. Good central location. Good transportation, plenty of retail, good medical and enough variety to find something you want. Good luck.

Bought property 15 years ago in the Calabash area. been livig here for 8 years.
All that time I have heard, "I wish I could'a, woulda' shoulda' moved here sooner"
A statement I TOTALLY agree with.
There is new construction going on all over the area in every price range.
