Harris Teeter's Carolina Colours store is an additional store. It will not affect store 221. The New Bern Marketplace store will replace store 221. I would project store 221 closes on the day before the New Bern Marketplace store opens.

There have been rumored reports of a similar sized Harris Teeter proposed in the Charlotte area, perhaps just inside the Union County line, but I forget the exact location. But it has been mentioned in the Charlotte forum. And they are already on the way with larger stores in Pinehurst and Fayetteville. |

The proposed 100,000-square-foot Harris Teeter, assumed to be a Harris Teeter Marketplace also, is in the village of Marvin in Union County.

Some might find this interesting. I have talked with managers and only the prescription meds are going to be transferred to the new store. Nothing outside the pharmacy is moving over, so . . . it will all be newly stocked stuff! |

With a little over a week to go, the HT on Glenburnie is beginning to show some significant bare shelves. Their plan is to sell down current inventory. There are some pretty good sales to help that along.

Read a Benzinga article saying that this HT will have a Burger Bar, Juice Bar and a Sushi Train as well. They’re definitely taking a page from Wegmans’ book. |

I read/saw/heard somewhere that this place was going to have a Five Guys, Olive Garden and Longhorn. None of the existing buildings look conducive to any of these. Anyone have any insight?
