Carolina Colours is a golf community located between United States Route 70 and Old Airport Roar in the city of New Bern in Craven County, North Carolina.
The "Retail Town Centre," located southwest from the intersection of Waterscape Way and West Thurman Road, will be anchored by a Harris Teeter supermarket, approximately 48,903 square feet, projected to open in October.

Harris Teeter #139 has been approximately two years in the making. It should be nice to see it finally open.

I just got back from the new location. The store was busy--the parking lot was full. There were plenty of customers.
I didn't recognize any of the cashiers, but there were several familiar faces. Glenburnie's store manager David and Stephanie (front end customer service) work there as well as people from Glenburnie's meat department.
All I can say is WOW--the new location is so nice. It has tall ceilings. It's modern, light, bright, and airy. It's smaller than the current location on Glenburnie, but it's so much better. I'm definitely shopping there for now on. Considering how nice it is, I can only imagine what the "New Bern Marketplace" location will look like once it's open. After all, that location will be 100,000 sq ft!
Currently, HT is the only store open in the Carolina Colours shopping center. Hopefully some decent dining options will come along.
I feel bad for residents of Carolina Colors who live on Landscape Drive and Waterscape Way. The increased traffic is a major negative for them.
